Because of the nature of the procedure, a scar will be created. The result of this scar will depend upon individual factors of healing and also placement of the incision. The scar will be concealed along the inner aspect of the arm but may keloid or become thickened. Because of the bilateral nature of this procedure, discrepancies in placement of the scars and/or results of the appearance of scars may differ from arm to arm. Temporary numbness will occur over the surgical site. As with all surgeries, bleeding, infection, hematoma, or seroma are all possible risks.
